(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) Radical leftist and outspoken Somali Rep. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota was booed off stage at a recent Somalian music festival, the National File reported.
Omar was attending a concert for Somalian refugees, who spent the Fourth of July week celebrating an alternative holiday, Somali Week, which commemorates Somalian independence.
The congresswoman was brought in to give an award to a Somalian singer during the concert, but her presence was met with overwhelming rejection.
Some in the crowd shouted “get out!” while others told her to “get the **ck out of here.”
Speculations were rampant as to why Omar was booed by her fellow Somalians as she attempts to keep the Muslim-Democrat coalition intact despite sharp points of opposition.
Some have suggested that it is her opposition to the overturning of Roe v. Wade while others speculated that it was her support for LGBT causes–both of which Muslims generally oppose.
Omar has been particularly outspoken about the overturning of Roe. At a recent pro-abortion rally she spoke of the need to continue killing babies.
“In almost half of this country, states are ready to ban abortion,” Omar said at a protest at Union Station. “Outright ban abortion. That means if you are sick, if you are raped, there is incest, you are forced to have that baby or die.”
“It was an honor to welcome you to our incredible city,” the Democrat congresswoman wrote about the Somalian singer, even though the reception she received was most unwelcoming.
