House Dems Introduce Bill to Force Taxpayers to Pay for Abortions

'More than 2.5 million Americans are alive today thanks to the Hyde Amendment, yet pro-abortion Democrats continue to ignore the clear will of the people... '

(Dmytro “Henry” AleksandrovHeadline USA) For the fifth time, House Democrats decided to reintroduce the bill that would reverse the Hyde Amendment and force taxpayers to pay for the murders of unborn babies through programs like Medicaid.

On Thursday, Reps. Barbara Lee, D-Calif., Ayanna Pressley, D-Mass., Diana DeGette, D-Colo., and Jan Schakowsky, D-Ill., introduced the Equal Access to Abortion Coverage in Health Insurance Act that would allow anyone who receives health care or insurance from the federal government to also be able to murder an unborn baby, according to Breitbart.

“The Hyde Amendment disproportionately impacts and restricts low-income people, primarily black and brown communities, from accessing the full range of reproductive health services that they should be afforded. So it’s discriminatory and racist,” Lee said.

“I know the fear that people have. I know personally the trauma and the horrible moments that I experienced,” she added, referring to herself murdering her unborn baby as a teenager before the Supreme Court’s Roe v. Wade decision in 1973.

However, the majority of people do not agree with Lee and other radical abortion activists.

Ahead of the first March for Life since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, a Marist Poll revealed that 60% of Americans oppose forcing taxpayers to fund murders of innocent human beings in the United States — six points higher than the results from last January. Of those people who oppose taxpayer-funded abortions, 34% are Democrats, 92% are Republicans and 59% are independents. Seventy-eight percent of Americans also oppose taxpayer-funded abortions abroad — 61% of Democrats, 91% of Republicans and 81% of independents.

According to the president of one of the nation’s leading pro-life groups, Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, the Hyde Amendment saved the lives of millions of unborn babies.

“More than 2.5 million Americans are alive today thanks to the Hyde Amendment, yet pro-abortion Democrats continue to ignore the clear will of the people in their push to impose abortion on demand and even infanticide, paid for by taxpayers, nationwide,” Susan B. Anthony President Marjorie Dannenfelser said.
