House Dem Leaders Harass, Intimidate Arizona Election Audit Company

'We are concerned about ... evidence that you and other individuals funding the audit have sought to advance the "big lie..."'

In an apparent effort to get in front of the potentially explosive findings in an Arizona election audit, partisan leftist lawmakers proved there was no tactic to which they wouldn’t stoop.

Two powerful House Democrats—both notorious for their lead roles in the attempted do-over impeachment of former President Donald Trump—sent a harassing letter to Cyber Ninjas CEO Doug Logan, baselessly accusing him of voter-intimidation for his involvement in the audit.

Reps. Carolyn Maloney, D-NY, and Jamie Raskin, D-Md., invoked a term coined by Adolf Hitler, which has since become a regular Democrat talking point, while threatening Logan with their own attempt to audit the auditors.

“We are concerned about … evidence that you and other individuals funding the audit have sought to advance the ‘big lie’ of debunked voter fraud allegations in the November 2020 presidential election,” the two top Oversight Committee Democrats claimed.

Maloney chairs the overall committee, while Raskin is chair of the Subcommittee on Civil Rights and Civil Liberties.

“The Committee is seeking to determine whether the privately funded audit conducted by your company in Arizona protects the right to vote or is instead an effort to promote baseless conspiracy theories, undermine confidence in America’s elections, and reverse the result of a free and fair election for partisan gain,” they claimed.

The president of the Arizona Senate, Karen Fann, revealed Tuesday that the soon-to-be-released results of the audit did not match the original tally of some 2.1 million ballots in Maricopa County.

“They haven’t released a number yet,” Fann said during an interview. “However, we do know that those numbers do not match with Maricopa County at this point.”

Yet, from the very outset Democrats’ irrational hysteria over the Arizona Senate’s performance of its constitutionally designated, court-upheld audit function has been among the many telling indications that something may be amiss.

With the results of the audit closing in, they have ratcheted up their suppressive tactics, including an unhinged speech Tuesday in which current White House occupant Joe Biden called the pursuit of election integrity America’s biggest threat since the Civil War.

“That’s not hyperbole…The Confederates back then never breached the Capitol as insurrectionists did,” Biden claimed.

During the speech, he also ranted about the “high standards” of “scrutiny” in the 2020 election.

In addition to the heated rhetoric, several partisan public prosecutors have pledged to join the fray.

US Attorney General Merrick Garland recently threatened action against Georgia‘s legislature over its passage of voting reform laws, an effort to close several loopholes exploited during the pandemic by Democrat activists who were coordinating with local election officials.

Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel and Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro have also threatened to wage legal warfare against efforts in their respective states to audit counties where suspicious activity occurred.

Meanwhile, the apparent legislative effort by Maloney and Raskin seemed more retaliatory in nature, while also coming off as a desperate attempt to discredit the messenger—in this case, Cyber Ninjas.

A familiar tactic deployed during their anti-Trump impeachment mulligan was to cite inaccurate reporting by media outlets—some of which was likely done in coordination with House Democrats—and to use the debunked, heresay claims as justification for elevating their own attack.

Much of the letter appeared, in fact, to be little more than a partisan smear, accusing the audit firm of “Sloppy and Insecure Audit Practices” and “Embrace of Election Conspiracy Theories” among other gripes.

In its conclusion, however, the letter took another left-field shot at asserting Congress’s right to intrude in state-run elections, just as House Democrats attempted with their failed HR1 election overhaul.

“The Committee is particularly concerned that your company’s actions could undermine the integrity of federal elections and interfere with Americans’ constitutional right to cast their ballot freely and to have their votes counted without partisan interference,” claimed Maloney and Raskin.

“In connection with this investigation, the Committee intends to study the need for legislative reforms to ensure the right is protected before, during, and after an election and that third parties do not interfere with this right,” they said.
