UPDATE: @HonoluluGov responds to offensive “FCKBLM” license plate being issued in Hawaii: says it was missed “due to an ill-advised oversight during the review process,” says plate will be recalled and owner will be ordered to surrender it #BlackLivesMatter #BLM @KITV4 pic.twitter.com/8ACwSeoAeI

The plate was first spotted in August of 2021 and brought to the attention of city authorities, the Daily Caller reported.
The plate was subsequently recalled, but the car was recently spotted driving around with the same plates.
Racism on the road? — Viewer reported seeing this license plate — FCKBLM or “f*** Black Lives Matter” — Sure enough, quick search of @HonoluluGov records shows this plate was issued in Hawaii. Unclear how it made it through approval process @KITV4 #BlackLivesMatter pic.twitter.com/TzZuTT09Hq

In an interview with KITV4, Honolulu’s Department of Customer Services said it had repeatedly attempted to contact the driver.
“We have sent three letters to the registered owner recalling the license plate,” the department said.
“However, the registered owner has failed to surrender the plate,” it continued. “CSD has placed a hold on further renewals of his vehicle registration, and his registration is now expired. HPD is able to cite the vehicle if it is being operated on the roads.”
It is unclear how the license plate made it through the approval process, as license plates with “FCK” or “FKN” are not allowed.
The City and County of Hawaii told KITV4 that the plate was an “ill-advised oversight.”
Many social media users were in agreement with the mystery driver.
An origination that’s under multiple investigations for scams and mismanagement of funds yea good “fck” then
