Hawaii Man Refuses to Surrender ‘FCK BLM’ License Plate

'How dare anyone not like BLM...'

(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) A resident of Honolulu, Hawaii, is refusing to give up a custom license plate with the words “FCK BLM,” allegedly referring to the activist group Black Lives Matter.

The plate was first spotted in August of 2021 and brought to the attention of city authorities, the Daily Caller reported.

The plate was subsequently recalled, but the car was recently spotted driving around with the same plates.

In an interview with KITV4, Honolulu’s Department of Customer Services said it had repeatedly attempted to contact the driver.

“We have sent three letters to the registered owner recalling the license plate,” the department said.

“However, the registered owner has failed to surrender the plate,” it continued. “CSD has placed a hold on further renewals of his vehicle registration, and his registration is now expired. HPD is able to cite the vehicle if it is being operated on the roads.”

It is unclear how the license plate made it through the approval process, as license plates with “FCK” or “FKN” are not allowed.

The City and County of Hawaii told KITV4 that the plate was an “ill-advised oversight.”

Many social media users were in agreement with the mystery driver.
