(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) The founder of Hamas, Khaled Meshaal, issued Tuesday a disturbing call for Muslims across the Middle East to rebel in the wake of a brutal terrorist attack against Israel.
Meshaal, who served as the chief of Hamas from 2004 until 2017, made this shocking demand from his office in Qatar.
“[We must] head to the squares and streets of the Arab and Islamic world on Friday,” Meshaal told Reuters. “Tribes of Jordan, sons of Jordan, brothers and sisters of Jordan… This is a moment of truth and the borders are close to you, you all know your responsibility.”
He went on to say, “To all scholars who teach jihad … to all who teach and learn, this is a moment for the application [of jihad].”

This call to action follows the Oct. 7 barbaric onslaught by Hamas against Israel, which resulted in the tragic loss of over 1,200 lives, including several Americans. According to witnesses, women were raped and some children were reportedly subjected to beheadings.
Initial reports suggest that Hamas terrorists could be holding between 100 and 150 hostages in Gaza.
Earlier in the week, Ismail Haniyeh, the political leader of Hamas, made similar remarks, promising to extend the war to the West Bank and to Palestinians across the region.
“This is the battle of not only the Palestinians or the Gazans, it is the battle of all the Arab and Muslim nations,” he said in a video, adding, “Simply for the reason that it is a battle for Palestine, it is a battle for Jerusalem.”
In response to these provocations, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned Hamas, likening the group to ISIS.
“We will crush and eliminate him as the world crushed and eliminated ISIS,” he said on Tuesday.
Netanyahu revealed that he had spoken to President Joe Biden, describing their conversation as supportive. In his conversation with Biden, the Israeli Prime Minister painted a grim picture of the savage terrorist attacks.
“I told President Biden: ‘‘We were attacked on Saturday with such barbarism that has not been seen since the Holocaust,” Netanyahu added. “Hundreds of people were slaughtered, entire families were murdered in their beds and homes, women were brutally raped and murdered; More than a hundred were kidnapped, including children.’”
