(Headline USA) The Daily Wire revealed on Wednesday that its website had been subjected to a severe distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack just hours after it released Matt Walsh’s new documentary, “What is a Woman?”
Jeremy Boreing, co-CEO of the publication, said the cyberattack was clearly meant “to disrupt” the documentary’s premiere.
“A million requests per minute at the peak flooded our system and created challenges for many viewers,” Boreing said.
“Even so, the premiere had more viewers than any stream in the history of the site. A huge success for an amazing film. Someone doesn’t want you to see this movie.”
There was a sophisticated attack on our site to shut down the What Is A Woman premiere. The Left does not want you to see this film. They will do anything to silence us. In spite of that it was the most successful premiere in DW history. They won’t shut us up or scare us.

Several users confirmed that they were unable to stream the film because of the cyberattack.
I experienced this. Was unable to watch last night. Site wouldn’t load for me. https://t.co/7yrxL39DIC

Walsh argued that the absurdity of gender ideology, which he exposes throughout the film, is the reason the Left has been attacking the documentary.
This is why they don’t want you to see #WhatIsAWoman. It’s because of moments like this. Gender ideology is an insane, incoherent mess. pic.twitter.com/p5m2RIbKff

He also said the Left’s attacks have inspired him to publicize the film even more.
The Left tried to shut the film down. Now they will be punished with a campus tour for the film. You brought this on yourselves. Actions have consequences. https://t.co/mc1v0mkfIm
