GOP Senate Candidate Bolduc Attacked as Biden Again Vilifies Republicans

'As the General said on stage tonight, it’s time to lower the temperature of the political discourse in this country... '

(Mark Pellin, Headline USA) As President Joe Biden delivered another toxic speech  Wednesday night that maligned Republicans as threats to democracy who have “emboldened violence and intimidation,” another attack on a Republican has followed the uniter-in-chief’s vitriolic rhetoric ahead of the midterms.

New Hampshire Republican candidate for Senate retired Brigadier Gen. Don Bolduc was reportedly physically assaulted before Wednesday’s debate with incumbent Democrat Sen. Maggie Hassan.

“Don Bolduc’s campaign says he was the victim of an attempted assault tonight while walking into the debate,” tweeted Politico’s Natalie Allison. “Someone tried to attack/punch him and was arrested, a spokesperson says. He wasn’t harmed.”

Bolduc completed the debate, during which he dismantled Hassan’s tenure and the harm her leftist policies have inflicted on New Hampshire.

Polls show Bolduc, who former President Donald Trump endorsed earlier this week, surging to dead-even with Hassan, according to the latest RCP average, which ranked the race a “Toss Up” and projected a “GOP Pick Up.”

It is not known if the attacker who allegedly assaulted Bolduc had any affiliation with the Hassan campaign, although one of her handlers tweeted that the person was a “libertarian party activist.”

“As the General said on stage tonight, it’s time to lower the temperature of the political discourse in this country,” a Bolduc campaign manager told Boston 25 News.

Biden’s speech Wednesday did just the opposite, repeating his outrageous charge of blaming Republicans for the attack on Paul Pelosi by a deranged former Castro nudist and hemp jewelry maker.

“There’s an alarming rise in the number of our people in this country condoning political violence or simply remaining silent, because silence is complicity,” Biden said.

“It’s estimated that there are more than 300 election deniers on the ballot all across America this year. We can’t ignore the impact this is having on our country. It’s damaging, is corrosive and it’s destructive.”

Leading up to Bolduc’s debate Wednesday, Trump’s endorsement described him as a “strong and proud ‘Election Denier,’ a big reason that he won the nomination.”
