(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) House Minority Leader and career RINO Kevin McCarthy has been exposed for backing the Democrats’ wild impeachment efforts against former President Donald Trump, the Gateway Pundit reported.
“I think [impeachment resolutions] will pass, and it would be my recommendation you (President Trump) should resign… What he did is unacceptable. Nobody can defend that and nobody should defend it,” McCarthy said to Rep. Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., on a phone call.
Fox News correspondent Bill Melugin asked McCarthy about the leaked audio wherein he expressed his support for impeachment.
“I want to switch gears a bit, you are looking to be Speaker again if Republicans win,” Melugin said.
“And to that point, you know what’s out there,” he said, “the New York Times has released audio of you, where days after January 6th you are on a call with House Republican leadership, and you are heard on the audio saying quote, you have had enough with President Trump and you would tell him to his face, it would be your belief he should resign. Do you still stand by those comments?”
Instead of answering the question, McCarthy said a bunch of incoherent words before beginning to talk about the border.
“Look, I never told the president to resign… It was a conversation that we had about scenarios going forward,” he said.
“But that’s not really what critical what happened 15 months ago, what’s happening is what is happening on this border right now, our border is not secure; 160 different countries of people are coming across.”
Fox News’ Tucker Carlson also had harsh words for the RINO Congressman, comparing him to a mainstream media hack who will likely be the House Speaker come January.
“Donald Trump, the sitting president, had already been silenced by those companies. But McCarthy wanted the tech oligarchs to do more, to force disobedient lawmakers off the internet,” Carlson said.
“Quote, ‘Can’t they take their Twitter accounts away too?’ Those are the tape-recorded words of Congressman Kevin McCarthy, a man who in private, turns out, sounds like an MSNBC contributor.”
