FBI Official Who Led Whitmer Kidnapping Plot, J6 Investigations to Retire

'Instead of hundreds of investigations stemming from a single, black swan incident at the Capitol, FBI and DOJ officials point to significant increases in domestic violent extremism and terrorism around the United States...'

(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) A top official at the Federal Bureau of Investigation who has been linked to the conspiracy to kidnap Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, as well as leading an investigation into the January 6 protests, will be retiring from the agency at the end of the month.

According to the Daily Wire, Steven D’Antuono has a history working as a special agent in charge of the Detroit and Washington D.C. offices and has received severe scrutiny for his involvement in both the kidnapping plot and January 6 investigations.

It is likely that D’Antuono is retiring in response to Republicans most likely winning a slim majority in the House of Representatives.

If the GOP does win, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Cali., and the Democrats will be losing their power and Republicans would win the power to direct investigations.

The FBI has been under scrutiny since several leaks revealed deep corruption and politicization from within the organization.

Top Republican on the House Judiciary Committee, Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, made a comment saying he has received statements from 14 different whistleblowers from within the bureau.

Republican Senators Chuck Grassley of Iowa and Ron Johnson of Wisconsin also collected testimonials from whistleblowers.

Some of the submitted testimony has implicated D’Antuono and his work, particularly his current position which involves overseeing the bureau’s investigation into the January 6 protestors.

There have also been reports of the manipulation of crime statistics from within the bureau.

“Instead of hundreds of investigations stemming from a single, black swan incident at the Capitol, FBI and DOJ officials point to significant increases in domestic violent extremism and terrorism around the United States,” the whistleblower alleged.

D’Antuono’s work in Michigan has also been subject to criticism.

The Department of Justice announced charges related to a conspiracy to kidnap Whitmer weeks before the 2020 election. The case blew up and the bust became “one of the most important domestic terrorism investigations in a generation,” as reported by Buzzfeed.

Rep James Comer has promised that, should the Republicans gain control of the House, he will be launching several other investigations, including the corruption of the Biden family.
