Covid Czar Anthony Fauci has flubbed and flip-flopped his way through the coronavirus pandemic, reversing and revising his wrong calls on everything from mask guidance to the effectiveness of therapeutics and vaccine mandates, but despite all the glaring errors and mistakes will still be in line to pocket the largest federal retirement package in U.S. history.
“Our auditors at OpenTheBooks.com,” reported Forbes, “estimate Dr. Fauci’s annual retirement would exceed $350,000. Thereafter, his pension and benefits would continue to increase through annual cost-of-living adjustments. Fauci has 55 years of service as a federal employee.”
The mother of all golden parachutes isn’t the only pay record that Fauci will have notched. Pocketing an annual salary of $434,312 in 2020, Fauci ranked as the highest paid federal employee for two years running, up from the $417,608 he received in 2019.
With the piles of loot he’s raking in as director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Fauci “out earned the president, four star generals, and roughly 4.3 million of his colleagues,” according to Forbes.
Fauci earned a total of $1.252 million from 2018-2020 in salary as a federal employee, reported Forbes, and stands to make at least $2.5 million in taxpayer-funded salary if he keeps feeding from the government trough through the end of the current Biden administration.
Fauci has given no reason for anyone to think he’ll be retiring anytime soon, however, and why would he when he can still receive all the booty regardless of all the blunders.
“I’m the head of an institute that actually played the major role in the development of the vaccines that have saved now millions of lives from COVID-19,” he disingenuously boasted to CBS’ “Face the Nation.”
“So, I’m going to keep doing that until this COVID-19 outbreak is in the rearview mirror, regardless of what anybody says about me, or wants to lie and create crazy fabrications because of political motivations,” said the man who has declared that to question or criticize him is to do likewise to science.
