Enes Kanter Freedom Jabs LeBron James: ‘38,888 Points. 0 Values’

'You are free to leave buddy... '

(Headline USA) NBA player Enes Kanter Freedom took a jab at LeBron James this week after James surpassed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the NBA’s all-time points leader, pointing out that although James might be good on the court, he’s a very different person off of it.

“38,388 Points. 0 Morals. 0 Values. 0 Principles. 0 Empathy. 1 Bow Down to #China. Congrats @KingJames,” Freedom tweeted.

Kanter Freedom and James have publicly trade barbs before over James’s refusal to speak out against communist China and its abuses. Freedom, who has been very vocal about his opposition to not only China but also to his home country Turkey, argued last year that James is controlled by “fear.”

“Many of the athletes, not just from the NBA, but all around every league, or coaches or people who has anything to do with sports, are scared to support me out loud,” he said.

Freedom has also criticized James’s anti-American comments. Last summer, for example, James suggested WNBA star Brittney Griner would be better off in Russia than in the U.S.

“Now, how can she feel like America has her back?” James asked. “I would be feeling like, ‘Do I even wanna go back to America?’”

Freedom responded: “You are free to leave buddy or you can even volunteer for an exchange for her,” he said. “Some people literally have NO idea what is it like to live in a dictatorship. Keep taking your freedom for granted.”

James later tried to clarify the remarks, claiming he hadn’t meant them as a knock on “our beautiful country.”

“I was simply saying how she’s probably feeling emotionally along with so many other emotions, thoughts, etc inside that cage she’s been in for over 100+ days!,” James said.
