Energy Groups Target Biden on Bindenflation

'The ad will hit the administration for sending out mixed messages in order to confuse the American people about what’s really happening with energy in America...'

(John RansomHeadline USA) Two American energy groups are blasting President Biden for shutting down American oil and gas drilling at a time that oil and gas prices are making historic highs, said Fox News.

Thomas Pyle, President of the American Energy Alliance, criticized Biden for releasing a million barrels from the country’s Strategic Petroleum Reserve, accusing Biden of being dishonest with the American people about high gas prices in a statement released to Oilman Magazine.

“The SPR is not a Strategic Price Reserve. The President is trying to use it to bail out his failed policies,” said Pyle in the statement.

The energy alliance said that only 1.9% of federal land is leased for oil and gas development, and that just last week Biden released a budget that included no money for offshore leases.

“Not allowing oil production on over 98 percent of federal lands, when the federal government is the largest land manager is a serious impediment to domestic oil production,” noted Oilman.

Not accounting for inflation, AAA said that gas prices are now at the highest level in the history of the United States, according to USAToday.

A new poll by Quinnipiac University says that a plurality of Americans (41 percent) blame Joe Biden for high gas prices, with 24 percent saying high prices were due to the war in Ukraine and 24 percent saying high prices were due to oil companies charging more, said Live 5 WSCS.

The US Energy Coalition has purchased a five-figure ad that will run in Washington, D.C., and 12 states — Arizona, California, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas and Washington, said the Valley Post.

The ad will hit the administration for sending out mixed messages in order to confuse the American people about what’s really happening with energy in America.

The ad cites previous comments by Biden, Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm, and US Special Presidential Climate Envoy John Kerry being dismissive of domestic energy production, while their current comments say the US must increase its oil supply.

“Which is it?” the ad asks.

“As you point out, it’s no surprise that prices keep going up,” Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) told Maria Bartiromo on Fox News.

“Because it’s President Biden, not Vladimir Putin, who has shut down production in America,” added Scalise.
