Email: FBI Rank-and-File Didn’t See Jan. 6 as Terrorist Act

'There’s no good way to say it, so I’ll just be direct... '

(Joshua Paladino, Headline USA) In an internal email to FBI Deputy Director Paul M. Abbate from a week after the J6 uprising, an unnamed person wrote that many rank-and-file employees viewed the disturbance as being “no different” than the Black Lives Matter protests, World Tribune reported.

“There’s no good way to say it, so I’ll just be direct: from my first-hand and second-hand information from conversations since January 6 there there is, at best, a sizable percentage of the employee population that felt sympathetic to the group that stormed the Capitol, and said it was no different than the BLM protests of last summer,” the sender wrote on Jan. 13, 2021 in the email titled, “Internal concerns.”

Abbate—the FBI’s second-in-command behind Director Christopher Wray—sent the email from an external address. With all the retractions, it is difficult to find Abbate’s response, but USA Today reported that he replied with simple thanks.

The FBI released 487 pages of emails, documents and news stories in a folder titled, “United States Capitol Violence and related Events of January 6, 2021 Part 16.”

Page 7 shows the email addressed to Paul M., and it is worth reading in full because it reveals blatant anti-conservative bias in the federal government’s top law enforcement agency.

The sender referred to January 6th as an “insurrection.”

The person warned Abbate that “roughly 75%” of the agents in a “CT Squad” disliked the violence but “could understand where the frustration was coming from” and believed it was simply “protestors getting carried away.”

The sender said “a smattering of criminals” launched the BLM riots that caused about $2 billion in damage, while “an organized group of domestic terrorists” caused the minor, short-lived J6 riot.

“I literally had to explain to an agent from a ‘blue state’ office the difference between opportunists burning and looting during protests that stemmed legitimate grievance to police brutality vs. an insurgent mob whose purpose was to prevent the execution of democratic processes at the behest of a sitting president,” the sender wrote.

The sender goes on to blame Fox News and Newsmax for the riot and to claim that anti-black racists have infiltrated the FBI.
