Elton John Quits Twitter Over ‘Misinformation’

‘Just leave and stop whining...’

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) On Friday, pop star Elton John said that he was leaving Twitter because the “misinformation” was going to “flourish unchecked” on the social media site because of the new company policies, according to the Daily Wire.

“All my life I’ve tried to use music to bring people together,” John wrote.

“Yet it saddens me to see how misinformation is now being used to divide our world. I’ve decided to no longer use Twitter, given their recent change in policy which will allow misinformation to flourish unchecked.”

Elon Musk responded.

“I love your music. Hope you come back. Is there any misinformation in particular that you’re concerned about?”

A Twitter user pointed out that it is possible that it is not John who writes those tweets but rather some random leftist who was assigned to work on John’s social media platform accounts.

“it’s prob another newly minted marxist social media person w/brain damage that posted this, Elton likely has nothing to do w/what’s posted on here,” the person wrote.

Musk agreed.

“It’s true that most celebrities don’t write their own posts. More should. Way better to hear directly from them.”

Whether it was John or his leftist social media manager, people on Twitter didn’t care. They still criticized the singer.

“Just leave and stop whining,” one Twitter user wrote.

Some people trolled John by citing the First Amendment to the Constitution and pointing out that John previously trusted “the science” by getting vaccinated and eventually testing positive for COVID-19.

Five Times August, who posted a tweet about John trusting “the science,” also criticized John for not going against the establishment.

“Know what saddens me? Artists like you who kept silent these last few years in the face of world wide tyranny,” he wrote.

“You had a chance to stand against the establishment like a true rock and roller but instead you joined the regime. Shame on you and every other artist who followed suite.”
