(Corine Gatti, Headline USA) Billionaire Elon Musk tweeted that any adult who deliberately sterilizes children should go to “prison for life.”
Musk’s stinging response comes on the heels of leftist MSNBC columnist Michael Cohen’s article that slammed Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis.
“Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis likes to call Florida the ‘citadel of freedom’ and the place ‘where woke goes to die.’ The reality is a policy agenda defined largely by pettiness, cruelty and a disturbing disregard for basic democratic norms,” Cohen noted. “If states are the so-called laboratory of American democracy, then Florida is the meth lab of American democracy.”
Cohen was referencing the Florida Board of Medicine and the Florida Board of Osteopathic Medicine, which at the urging of DeSantis passed a bill banning genital-mutilating surgeries and puberty-blocking hormones for minors. DeSantis and Republicans are pushing for legislation that would ban what many medical professionals consider dangerous transgender medical treatments for minors, including allowing sex-reassignment surgeries.
Musk ripped what BizPac Review called “permanent, life-altering medical treatment for gender-confused children,” citing the belief that allowing these treatments can cause more harm than good for gender dysphoric children. Musk’s opinion was praised by Republican lawmakers who see gender transition treatments as unsafe and irresponsible for children.
“Any parent or doctor who sterilizes a child before they are a consenting adult should go to prison for life,” the Twitter CEO tweeted with respect to the virtue-signaling parents and doctors, who believe that castrating or changing the sex of children is healthy.
Conservatives applauded Musk for his recent tweet. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., said she shared the sentiment, explaining her decision to introduce the Protect Children’s Innocence Act, a law that would make gender-affirming care for those under 18 a felony.

“No patient (child/guardian or adult) can truly give informed consent to radical mutilating procedures and experimental hormone treatments promoted by transgender extremists,” wrote Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton. “That these procedures may be allowed by law or medical bodies is an urgent failure that must be addressed.”
