‘Dukes of Hazzard’ Star Slams Alec Baldwin’s ‘BS’ Interview

'Three weeks ago, it was a prop gun. Four weeks ago, nobody knew how in the world this real weapon was loaded on the set. Today, he didn't pull the trigger...'

Actor John Schneider slammed Alec Baldwin’s excuses for the tragic “Rust” shooting as “bulls***” after Baldwin insisted in an interview this week that he “didn’t pull the trigger” of the gun that fired, killing one and injuring another.

The “Dukes of Hazzard” star responded to Baldwin’s interview with ABC News host George Stephanopolous by pointing out how many excuses Baldwin made for himself.

“Aliens pulled the trigger? Who pulled the trigger?” Schneider asked in an 18-minute video titled, “Seriously Alec?”

“Three weeks ago, it was a prop gun. Four weeks ago, nobody knew how in the world this real weapon was loaded on the set,” Schneider said. “Today, he didn’t pull the trigger.”

Everything about Baldwin’s interview was “designed to make us feel sorry for Alec Baldwin” even though he was the one who shot two people, Schneider continued. Even Baldwin’s emotional responses and tears were “bulls***,” he said.

No one should “believe that a gun went off by itself,” no matter what Baldwin says, Schneider said.

“This is a wonderful business we all work in. We are honored and privileged to be part of it,” Schneider continued. “So when someone takes a crap – which obviously George and Alec have done here, and obviously this woman is still deceased. Her family is still without a mother, without a wife. This is absurd.”

During his ABC News interview, Baldwin insisted that he is not responsible for the shooting and that the gun fired without him even pulling the trigger.

“Someone is responsible for what happened, and I can’t say who that is, but it’s not me,” Baldwin said. “I didn’t pull the trigger. I would never point a gun at anyone and pull the trigger at them. Never.”
