Weeks After Parade Massacre, ‘Dr. Jill’ Dispatched to Visit Waukesha

'We have not forgotten about you...'

(Headline USA) First lady Jill Biden met Wednesday with victims of a Christmas parade massacre in suburban Milwaukee, where six people were killed and dozens were injured after a black supremacist plowed his SUV into the crowd.

Biden and second gentleman Doug Emhoff visited Children’s Wisconsin hospital in Milwaukee, where they thanked the frontline health care workers who treated victims of the attack in Waukesha. They were joined by U.S. Surgeon General Vivek Murthy.

“Our nation is so grateful for you,” Murthy said. “We have not forgotten about you. We will not forget about you. And you will remain in our minds and our hearts as you continue to process, to heal and to grieve.”

The attack occurred just days before families gathered together to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday.

Among the victims were several members of the “Dancing Grannies” troup and an 8-year-old boy, Jackson Sparks.

Despite the initial shock of the attack, however, Democrats have avoided wading into the politically charged issue.

Early speculation was that the accused killer, Darrell Brooks Jr., had acted in retaliation for the acquittal of freedom-fighting teen vigilante Kyle Rittenhouse.

Brooks is accused of driving his vehicle into the parade in Waukesha on Nov. 21. Witnesses said he was swerving and appeared to be intentionally trying to hit people.

Brooks’ attorneys have said their client is presumed innocent until “the government proves its allegations beyond a reasonable doubt.”

However, Brooks’s social media revealed his support for radical causes such as Black Lives Matter and statements advocating racially motivated violence.

Some on the Left subsequently mocked and celebrated the senseless bloodshed. Mainstream media, meanwhile, downplayed the “crash,” notoriously placing the emphasis on the car instead of its driver.

It is unclear whether political calculations were behind the nearly monthlong delay from the White House in visiting the region and why “Dr. Jill” and co. decided finally to show up.

But dispatching the executive spouses and a second-tier Cabinet member as President Joe Biden toured the tornado damage in Kentucky continued to send subtle cues about where the leftist domestic terrorism attack ranked in their list of priorities.

In addition to visiting the health care workers, “Dr. Jill” found time to meet privately with two injured children and their families at the hospital, the Journal Sentinel reported.

She also found time to push an entirely unrelated political agenda, stressing the importance of the controversial COVID-19 vaccine, urging parents to get their children vaccinated.

Biden, Emhoff and Murthy then traveled to Waukesha, where Biden placed a bouquet of flowers at a memorial for the crash victims at Veterans Park. They planned to also meet with families of the victims and first responders.
