Double Standard on Bans Expose Leftist Hypocrisy of Twitter

'Twitter permitted the Taliban official spokesman to live-tweet Mujahideen terror... '

(Mark Pellin, Headline USA) Voicing even the mere suggestion that biological males have an inherent physical advantage over females, and shouldn’t be allowed to compete on the same athletic level, is enough to get someone banned from Twitter.

But expressing outright support for wholesale genocide, or throwing homosexuals off rooftops, is apparently not enough to warrant even a slap on the wrist.

For proof, look for further than the leftist hypocrisy on full display with Twitter’s long-running tolerance of intolerant rantings from the likes of Ali Khamenei, supreme leader of Iran, who has repeatedly called for the destruction of Israel, versus the swift crackdown imposed on Rep. Vicky Hartzler, R-Mo., who said she had her account suspended Monday, according to The Federalist.

The reason for the suspension, Hartzler said, was because she said that “women’s sports are for women, not men pretending to be women.”

Meanwhile, Twitter had no issues with the violent, hateful and murderous propaganda being pushed by the Taliban during its brutal takeover of Afghanistan after President Joe Biden’s disastrous and deadly withdrawal last year.

“Twitter permitted the Taliban official spokesman to live-tweet Mujahideen terror, the acquisition of arms, storming the Afghanistan capital, and the occupation of the presidential palace,” academic Adrian Hilton noted.

The biased hypocrisy is equally flagrant when it comes to the Twitter account of Russian mob boss Vladimir Putin, who has not been banned or even suspended despite his unfolding attack on Ukraine, his crackdown on any dissent and his long history of bigotry and assault on basic human rights.

Putin’s Twitter account, which has 1.5 million followers, remained active as of Friday, reported The Federalist, even as Putin has used Twitter to spread his malicious brand of propaganda.

Former President Donald Trump, on the other hand, received a lifetime ban from Twitter for his bombing of innocent civilians, torturing of dissidents and threatening economic ruin and starvation for half the world’s population.

Wait, scratch that; turns out all Trump did to receive a lifetime Twitter ban was post a video on Jan. 6, 2021, imploring rioters at the Capitol to “go home now” and noting that “we have to have peace,” according to The Federalist.

Before that, Twitter and Facebook had previously censored Trump 65 times, which is almost as many innocent babies that Putin has killed in the last few weeks.
