Did the Trans Mob Really Try to Cancel Aretha Franklin’s Classic ‘A Natural Woman’?

'There is no such thing as a 'natural' woman...'

(Dmytro “Henry” AleksandrovHeadline USA) A group of allegedly woke transgender activists either tried to cancel the song “A Natural Woman” by Aretha Franklin for it being “offensive” and perpetuating “multiple harmful anti-trans stereotypes,” or the group pulled a stunt that exposed the absurdity of the radical transgender movement.

The so-called Trans Cultural Mindfulness Alliance started this year and has made a series of woke posts on social media, according to the Daily Mail. One of their most viral posts was a request to pull Franklin’s song from two of the major streaming platforms — Spotify and Apple Music.

“Aretha Franklin’s 1968 song ‘Natural Woman’ perpetuates multiple harmful anti-trans stereotypes. There is no such thing as a ‘natural’ woman,” the group wrote. “This song has helped inspire acts of harm against transgender women.”

As of Jan. 24, the post had gathered more than 1 million views, but no more than 300 likes. The post received a backlash from people on social media.

“Stupidest tweet ever. On behalf of all normal people, I request you remove your Twitter account,” one Twitter user wroteSome people suggested that denying nature is not the smartest thing to do, advising to “Stop trying to erase natural women just because some men want to be like them. Stop running from the truth!”

Others noted that the post was so crazy, it was surely a hoax.

After receiving unwanted attention from the conservative media and others on social media, the group backtracked their comments by claiming it was parody/satire, as they have indicated in their channel description.

However, before that, in a now-deleted tweet, the group declared that, “For clarification, the TCMA is not a parody organization. We are based in Norway but are seeking to open a chapter in each European country and also North America.”

That was followed by more claims of parody and a swipe at the out-sized ridiculousness of the trans movements, that people would even think to take their posts seriously.
