Did BlackRock and Ukraine Collude to Oust the Lone Anti-War Voice on Cable News?

'Clearly, he spooked a lot of members into not being fully supportive of Ukraine...'

(Ken Silva, Headline USAOn Feb. 1, it was announced that the Biden-friendly investment firm BlackRock bought more than 5 million shares in Fox Corporation.

Weeks later, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, a BlackRock crony, had a phone call with Fox co-chairman Lachlan Murdoch, according to a recent report from Semafor.

It wasn’t long after that when Fox News ousted Tucker Carlson, the lone voice on cable news that has consistently opposed U.S. involvement in the war in Ukraine.

While the Murdoch family hasn’t given a reason for sidelining Carlson, and the popular news host had drawn heat from a multitude of powerful institutions, including Big Pharma, Big Tech, both major political parties and the Murdochs themselves.

However, the military-industrial complex’s joyous reaction to Carlson’s departure indicates that the Ukraine war may have at least been the final straw. Politico reported last week that top Pentagon officials are cheering at the recent Fox News shakeup.

“We’re a better country without him bagging on our military every night in front of hundreds of thousands of people,” said one senior Pentagon official, who spoke under the condition of anonymity, according to Politico.

“Good riddance,” a second unnamed official reportedly said.

Top Republicans are also reportedly saying that Carlson’s ouster “probably reduces the loudest voice out there against U.S. support,” according to Semafor.

“Clearly, he spooked a lot of members into not being fully supportive of Ukraine,” a senior Republican congressional aide reportedly told the outlet.

Carlson himself has indicated that the war machine may have pushed him out at Fox. “Ha! I’m sure,” he told Politico in a text message in a response to the celebrating Pentagon officials.

Meanwhile, cable news continues to spew war propaganda—now unchecked by Carlson’s stinging rebukes.

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, who has received frequent tongue-lashings from Carlson for his efforts in syphoning billions of American tax dollars to Ukraine, said Monday that he will “continue to support Ukraine”—a message amplified by the fawning pro-war media.

“I support aid for Ukraine,” he said. “And I will continue to support because the rest of the world sees it just as it is.”
