DHS Now Labels ‘Gov’t Overreach’ and ‘Vote Fraud’ as Extremist Red Flags

(Tony Sifert, Headline USA) Government documents uncovered by Project Veritas reveal that the Department of Homeland Security and other administrative agencies are seeding the ground for re-describing all opposition to the administrative state as domestic extremism and terrorism — an action that could justify a draconian crackdown on political dissent in advance of the 2022 midterms.

Project Veritas received the relevant document — an intelligence bulletin released in the aftermath of the FBI’s unprecedented raid on President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate — from a DHS whistleblower.

Like the corporate media, the document begins with the pretense that the most dangerous aspect of the DOJ’s “banana republic” witch hunt is the blowback that might be experienced by administrative agencies like the FBI and the DHS.

“The threats we have observed, to date, underscore that DVEs [Domestic Violent Extremists] may view the 2022 midterm election as an additional flashpoint around which to escalate threats against perceived ideological opponents, including federal law enforcement personnel,” the bulletin reads.

The document goes on to detail the sort of “extremist ideologies” that might contribute to political violence in advance of the November midterms, all of which are associated with right-wing political dissent.

“In recent years, [extremists] adhering to different violent extremist ideologies have coalesced around perceptions of government overreach and election fraud to threaten and conduct violence,” the report said. “We assess that potential targets of DVE violence moving forward could include law enforcement [and] judicial officials.”

There is no mention, however, of either the regular BLM/Antifa attacks — in speech and deed — on law enforcement throughout the country, or of the plot to assassinate Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, among others, in the aftermath of the Dobbs decision.

The DHS designated “domestic violent extremism” as terrorism and a “National Priority Area” in 2021 and has devoted millions of dollars to “preventing, preparing for, protecting against, and responding to related threats.”
