DeSantis Trolls Vacationing Dems w/ New ‘Escape to Florida’ T-Shirts

'we don't blame you... we like freedom too... '

Recently, a whole bevvy of nationally prominent Democrat politicians and media pundits have been caught on camera vacationing in Florida.

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, California Rep. Eric Swalwell and New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez have all been spotted enjoying the Sunshine state. They have also been caught maskless and enjoying freedom from COVID-19 restrictions enforced in their home states.

Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis has taken advantage of this moment to call attention to their inconsistency by launching a new line of “Escape to Florida” t-shirts, NewsMax reported.

The shirts show Florida with an “open” sign; written below is “Lockdown Libs Tour.” On the back, all of the Democrats who have been spotted and the cities they vacationed in are listed.

Below the list of starring Democrats, reads “we don’t blame you… we like freedom too.”

They are now available on the DeSantis campaign website for $25.

DeSantis commented on this phenomena in a press conference after AOC was spotted hugging and kissing people at a party.

“If I had a dollar for every lockdown politician who decided to escape to Florida over the last two years, I’d be a pretty doggone wealthy man, let me tell you,” DeSantis said. “I mean, Congress people, mayors, governors, I mean you name it.”

Following her trip, AOC—who is fully vaccinated and boosted—announced that she had contracted COVID.

Unlike Florida, New York requires masking and vaccination for everyone age 5 and above for entry into restaurants, theaters, museums and other indoor businesses.

Similar restrictions have been set in Whitmer’s Michigan and Swalwell’s California.
