House Dems Block Motion to Prohibit Biden Selling Oil to China

'It is irresponsible and dangerous for the United States to provide a foreign adversary with fuel that we need to keep here in the United States in case of an emergency...'

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) As American drivers struggle to make ends meet, globalist Democrats in the House of Representatives could have stopped President Joe Biden from selling out America’s oil reserves to entities owned by the Chinese Communist Party.

But instead they blocked the motion with the weight of 219 votes, Breitbart reported.

The motion was filed by Rep. David Valadao, R-Calif., who wished to amend H.R. 8294—the Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act—before it went to the floor for a vote.

Valadao argued to his colleagues in the House that his proposed amendment was simply “common sense.”

“[W]e need to focus on increasing energy production and not supporting our adversaries while Americans are still suffering from outrageously high fuel prices here at home,” he  said.

“These reserves are meant to be used in emergencies only,” he continued. “They are not meant to be used when our leadership has failed us by unnecessarily restricting domestic energy production.”

He also attacked Biden and his administration directly for depleting the United States Strategic Petroleum Reserve and helping China.

“It is irresponsible and dangerous for the United States to provide a foreign adversary with fuel that we need to keep here in the United States in case of an emergency,” he said. “It seems the Biden administration is helping to support China’s national security at the expense of our own.”

Despite their reluctance to halt the sale of America’s emergency rations to China, the Biden administration and Democrats in Congress have, at the same time, insisted that we are in the midst of a so-called climate emergency, Bloomberg reported.

Leftists have openly floated the idea, which Biden has not entirely ruled out, of declaring a national state of emergency, which would grant him additional executive powers to take actions such as halting the export of American oil.
