Democrat Andrew Cuomo Slams ‘Far-Left’ for Soft on Crime Policies, Harming Minorities

'The far left doesn't want to talk about crime -- they don't want to hear the word crime spoken...'

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Disgraced former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, a Democrat, took to YouTube to blast leftist Democrats for being soft on crime and harming American citizens.

“Democrats: When you ignore crime, you hurt the people you represent,” Cuomo said on Twitter, linking to a YouTube video.

“The far left doesn’t want to talk about crime — they don’t want to hear the word crime spoken. ‘There is no crime problem, it’s all Republican propaganda,’” the former governor said, mocking leftist’s talking points. “Do you know who are the victims of crime? Over 80 percent black, brown and poor. So tell me who does the Democratic Party really represent? If not the black, brown and poor.”

“When you refuse to address the issue of crime, the people who are paying the price are the black brown and poor,” he continued. “They’re paying the price for your far-left politics.”

The video titled “Ignoring Crime: The opposite of progress” appeared to be a snippet of a new episode of Cuomo’s podcast, “As A Matter Of Fact… With Andrew Cuomo.”

Cuomo launched the podcast in October 2022, a year after resigning in disgrace over multiple allegations of sexual harassment. “It’s just about expressing my opinion to the public and speaking publicly,” Cuomo told The Associated Press at the time of the podcast’s. “And to the extent they don’t like what I have to say, then don’t listen.”

In recent months conservative politicians have raised concerns overing growing crime in Democrat-led cities. For instance, House Judiciary Chairman Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, announced a field hearing featuring the victims of Alvin Bragg’s policies, the leftist Soros-backed Manhattan DA who indicted former President Donald Trump over hush payments.

Cuomo himself accused Letitia James, the leftist New York Attorney General, of plotting a political scheme that led to his ousting. Former President Donald Trump blasted James for pushing a criminal investigation against him and his organization. Both James and Bragg made prosecuting Trump a key issue of their political campaigns.

Similarly, Kimberly Gardner, a Soros-backed prosecutor in Missouri, is facing removal proceedings by the state Attorney General over allegations of misconduct and failure to enforce the law. A local judge sanctioned her office for releasing a suspect in a double homicide and withholding evidence of the crime.

San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin, a radical leftist prosecutor, was removed from office by voters who grew tired of rampant violent crime. Boudin terrorized San Francisco with a reign of so-called criminal justice reforms that led the city to a pit of crime, rampant sales of drugs, home invasions and other violent crimes.
