Daily Caller Fact-Checker Turned Out to Be Socialist Anti-Trumper

'Check Your Fact is retracting this fact-checking article about a Live Action claim about Planned Parenthood. After further review, we found this article did not meet editorial standards...'

(Dmytro “Henry” AleksandrovHeadline USA) It was revealed that a “fact check” reporter who is employed and aggregated by conservative news sites is an avowed radical leftist.

Anna Mock, a reporter for The Daily Caller’s “Check Your Fact” website, previously posted her political support for a self-described socialist U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., the National Pulse reported. She’s also been a proponent of far-left unionization efforts.

Mock became a regular source for fact checks of Donald TrumpVivek Ramaswamy and other conservative politicians.

In addition to that, Mock felt that she needed to defend the far-left Atlantic magazine after someone posted a clear parody on Facebook, making it appear that the outlet believed orcas, an aquatic mammal, were a new white supremacist threat.

Mock’s social media feed also revealed her far-left political ideology when she reposted multiple tweets from leftist accounts.

Among those people and organizations were Sen. Sanders, anti-Trump Jim Acosta and the South Carolina branch of the Industrial Workers of the World – a radical labor union that supported things like “revolutionary industrial unionism” and “queer liberation“ and was connected to socialist and anarchist organizations.

The Pulse added that even though most of Mock’s fact checks are of clear satire and parodies, it is very concerning that someone like her is employed by a supposedly right-leaning website since her job is to provide the “fact checks” that push back against the mainstream narrative by offering the opposite of what every other leftist fact checker provides.

CNN’s Oliver Darcy, Kaitlin Collins and Michelle Fields were also previously employed by the Daily Caller, which also hurts the reputation of the Caller as a conservative news outlet.

In late July, Mock wrote a fact check that was entitled “No, Planned Parenthood Does Not Aid Sex Traffickers.” In the end, Check Your Fact pulled the article from its website.

“Check Your Fact is retracting this fact-checking article about a Live Action claim about Planned Parenthood. After further review, we found this article did not meet editorial standards,” the organization wrote.

On its About Us page, Check Your Fact wrote that it “… is a for-profit subsidiary wholly owned by The Daily Caller, Inc.,” adding that the majority owner of the company is a co-founder and publisher Neil Patel.

Fact checks from the website are often aggregated by other conservative news sites like Conservative Review, which is owned by Blaze Media LLC and was founded by Glenn Beck who opposed Trump in 2016, even though the only alternative to him was Hillary Clinton.
