Country Star Travis Tritt Hints At Boycott of Fox News

'Haven’t watched Fox News since they got rid of Tucker. And I’m not alone ... '

(Headline USA) Country artist Travis Tritt suggested conservatives should launch their next boycott against Fox News over its ousting of Tucker Carlson.

The Grammy-winning singer liked a tweet from conservative commentator Rogan O’Handley over the weekend saying he had canceled his Fox News subscription since the network parted ways with Carlson.

“Haven’t donated to the RNC since they installed Ronna Romney McDaniel. Haven’t drank a Bud Light since they went Woke. Haven’t watched Fox News since they got rid of Tucker. And I’m not alone,” O’Handley wrote.

Tritt also liked a tweet from Juanita Broaddrick, who alleged she was assaulted by former President Bill Clinton when he was serving as attorney general of Arkansas. In the tweet, Broaddrick shared an article claiming Sean Hannity will be taking over Carlson’s 8 p.m. slot and said, “Still not watching. You?”

Fox News denied reports that Hannity will be replacing Carlson.

Tritt was one of several country artists who publicly split with Anheuser-Busch after one of its brands, Bud Light, partnered with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney.

“I will be deleting all Anheuser-Busch products from my tour hospitality rider. I know many other artists who are doing the same,” Tritt said last month.

Tritt noted in later tweets that he “was on a tour sponsored by Budweiser in the ’90s,” back in the day when Anheuser–Busch, among numerous other corporations, was “American-owned.”

He added that many other artists were boycotting the company without making a public announcement, out of “fear of being ridiculed and canceled.”

“I have no such fear,” he wrote.

Bud Light’s sales have continued to crater in recent weeks, leading the company to consider buying back unsold cases of beer from wholesalers. Nationwide retail sales of Bud Light sales dropped 23.6% versus a year ago during the week of May 6 — slightly down from the 23.3% decline for the week that ended April 29, according to data from Bump Williams Consulting and NielsenIQ data.
