Cost for Biden’s Taxpayer-Funded Wall at Beach House Balloons to Nearly $500K

(Chris ParkerHeadline USA) The taxpayer cost of the Homeland Security-approved fence for President Biden’s privately-owned beach house has ballooned to nearly $500,000.

That’s a jump from original cost projections of $450,000 and completion is running behind schedule, reported Fox News.

The fence was initially estimated to be completed by the end of 2021. However, that price has since risen substantially. And it will all still be covered by taxpayers.

That hefty price does not include the cost of Biden’s security detail for each visit. State and federal officials close off surrounding areas, while the FAA temporarily restricts flights. During his last visit, the Coast Guard also had to set up security zones in the Atlantic Ocean and the Lewes-Rehoboth Canal.

Biden will be vacationing at the house this weekend, after signing the $739-billion Inflation Reduction Act into law and violating numerous COVID guidelines. The misnamed bill that Biden signed will do nothing to reduce inflation, spends billons on a radical green agenda and increases taxes on almost all Americans.

Critics have called out the irony of Biden’s decision to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on a fence for his private home, while refusing to finish building the US/Mexico border wall.

Texas and Missouri have both sued the Biden administration to restart construction on the wall. The administration recently announced that it approved construction to fill gaps near Yuma, Arizona. It has yet to approve plans to fully build the wall.

It also seems ironic in light of the federal government’s recent security failure with a fence in Texas. Earlier this week, federal agents were seen opening a border fence and ushering illegal immigrants through shortly after the fence was closed and locked by the Texas National Guard.

Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., slammed that decision.

“The Democrats love illegal immigration, and so they have not been willing to change the laws,” he said.

“Anybody who is caught in the act of coming in should be immediately placed back on the other side. No process, nothing,” Paul said. “If you were caught breaking in, not through a normal portal of entry, you should go back on the other side of the river immediately.”
