Conservative-Leftist Divide Grows Wider for High School Boys and Girls

'We’re creating this idea that if you’re a male, then there’s something wrong with that and that you’re bad... '

(Dmytro “Henry” AleksandrovHeadline USA) American high school boys and girls became more politically divided in recent years, with boys becoming more conservative and girls moving toward the left.

“Monitoring the Future” and the University of Michigan have been conducting annual polling over the last three years that showed 12th-grade boys are more likely to identify as conservatives than liberals, while the girls from the same grade are more likely to identify as liberals, the Daily Wire reported.

The most recent survey revealed that 23% of senior boys identified as conservative, with only 13% of them saying they are liberal. On the other hand, around 30% of senior girls said they consider themselves liberals in 2021 and 2022, which is up from 25% in 2020.

“You look at… all the messaging in society and it’s sort of like everything is about advancing within minorities… and young men, young boys sort of being… left behind,” psychotherapist Thomas Kersting said, adding that he wasn’t surprised by the results of the survey.

“And then you have politicians out there saying things like the number one problem in America is white men and things of that nature, but I think 12th-grade boys are kind of seeing through this. We’re creating this idea that if you’re a male, then there’s something wrong with that and that you’re bad.”

The survey also revealed that leftist high school boys were the majority during the late 1970s — the Jimmy Carter presidency — and the late 2000s — the time when Barack Obama was in office. It was only in 2016 when conservative high school boys became a majority.

On the other hand, girls drastically moved to the left politically in the past decade, after the Democrat Party doubled down on its pro-abortion narrative, promising women that they will be able to murder their unborn babies in the Planned Parenthood clinics after the Supreme Court struck down unconstitutional Roe v. Wade last summer.

In addition to the boys moving to the right politically, the data also showed that fewer young men graduate from the country’s colleges and universities because they are now considered nothing more than a bunch of leftist indoctrination centers, the Wire reported.

In the 2018-2019 academic year, just 74 men received a bachelor’s degree for every 100 women who graduated. As of 2023, compared to 58% of men, 64% of women were graduating from public universities. Overall, women are outnumbering men by almost 60% to 40%, according to the National Student Clearinghouse Research Center reported.
