Comer Unleashes New Subpoenas for Hunter’s Biz Associates and Art Dealer

'The House Oversight Committee is leaving no stone unturned...'

(Luis CornelioHeadline USA) House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., issued on Monday new subpoenas to individuals tied with the business dealings of the Biden family, which has become the epicenter of an impeachment inquiry.

The move came a day after Comer subpoenaed Hunter Biden, President Joe Biden’s son. Comer is now targeting Hunter’s associates Eric Schwerin and Mervyn Yan, along with gallerist George Bergès and art patron Elizabeth Naftali, for depositions.

According to a report by Fox News, Comer’s request in January for information from Bergès aimed to uncover any communication between the gallery and the White House, especially regarding alleged efforts to conceal records of prices and buyers of Hunter’s art.

In addition, Comer announced his intent to interview the trustee company, Americore Holdings, LLC, regarding loans the Biden family reportedly received.

“The House Oversight Committee is leaving no stone unturned as we investigate President Joe Biden’s central role in his family’s domestic and international business dealings,” Comer stated in a press release. “Yesterday, the House Oversight Committee delivered subpoenas to the President’s son, Hunter Biden, brother, James Biden, and other Biden family associates connected to the record of evidence obtained by this Committee.”

In a bid to building an impeachment case against Biden, Comer is seeking information related to what he described as “20 shell companies,” most of which were allegedly established during Biden’s tenure as vice president. Comer alleged that these companies were created as an illegal effort to obscure incoming payments from foreign countries.

“A plethora of bank records, texts, emails, and a transcribed interview with Biden family associate Devon Archer all show the Bidens and their business partners sold access to the highest levels of our government, including Joe Biden himself, to the detriment of America’s interests,” Comer declared on Monday.

These allegations are part of a Republican-led impeachment push against the president, who continues to maintain his and his family’s innocence, despite the growing scrutiny.

Attorney Abbe Lowell, who is defending Hunter, accused the impeachment probe of being “partisan” in a Wednesday letter to House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La.

“This is yet another political stunt aimed at distracting from the glaring failure of Rep. Comer and his MAGA allies to prove a single one of their wild and now discredited conspiracies about the Biden family,” Lowell said in a statement, according to Fox.
