Comer Details DOJ’s Alleged Obstruction in Fired-up Interview

'The Justice Department simply has turned a blind eye to Hunter Biden. They were told to stand down...'

(Luis CornelioHeadline USA) In an interview with Fox News’s Jesse Watters, Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., revealed new details regarding the alleged criminal obstruction by the DOJ under President Joe Biden.

Comer, known for his forceful investigation into reported misconduct and politicization of the federal government, accused the department of turning a blind eye to Hunter Biden’s questionable activities and interfering in probes related to the infamous Biden family.

“The Justice Department simply has turned a blind eye to Hunter Biden. They were told to stand down. That’s what our FBI whistleblower told us,” Comer told Watters.

Comer also described a pattern of the DOJ purposely thwarting investigations into Biden. “When we learned about the discovery of the 1023 form that alleged Joe Biden took a bribe from the most trusted, highest-paid FBI informant, they were told to stand down,” Comer added.

According to Comer, the DOJ’s alleged interference also took place in the National Archives and the IRS.

“When we brought in the general counsel for the National Archives and they were trying to publish a story on their website about Joe Biden mishandling classified documents, they were told by the Department of Justice to stand down. And now, with the IRS whistleblower, when they were looking at obvious tax violations by the Biden family, they were told to stand down,” Comer stated.

Comer described this tactic as a pattern of “preferential treatment for Biden’s criminal activities.”

Watters asked Comer about allegations that the DOJ blocked David Weiss, the U.S. Attorney for the District of Delaware, from filing more severe charges against Hunter. “How abusive is that?” Watters specifically asked.

“It’s very abusive,” Comer answered, debunking the Democrats’ claims that Trump brought Weiss forward to investigate the crimes to which Hunter pleaded guilty last month.

“What the Democrats want to say is that ‘this Delaware attorney was appointed by Trump,’ but he was appointed by Obama before he was ever appointed by Trump for various positions,” Comer concluded. “So, this is certainly a situation where a senator works out a deal with the president, even if they’re from opposing parties.”
