CNN Praises Jack Smith for Getting Subway Sandwich

'Jack Smith can't resist a $5 footlong. That's according to what we see right there...'

(Dmytro “Henry” AleksandrovHeadline USA) While following special counsel Jack Smith around Washington, D.C., on Tuesday, leftist propaganda network CNN praised the anti-Trump prosecutor for getting a sandwich from Subway.

The news comes after Smith sent a letter to Donald Trump, in which he informed him that is the target of a grand-jury investigation into the Capitol uprising of Jan. 6, 2021, the Post Millennial reported.

“Jack Smith can’t resist a $5 footlong. That’s according to what we see right there. New and exclusive CNN video of the special counsel at Subway,” the CNN host said.

CNN reporter Evan Perez tried to ask Smith a question about Trump’s pending indictment, but Smith declined to “respond to the reporter’s questions about today’s big news.”

People on Twitter gladly picked up the obvious—though unintentional—invitation from CNN to mock them.

“CNN: Jack Smith can’t resist a $5 foot long! Isn’t he dreamy?!? So pathetic,” the Post Millennial wrote.

Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., also responded to the news, pointing out that the reason why the network reported the “news” was because it didn’t want to report actual news.

“CNN had breaking news yesterday. ‘Jack Smith went to Subway,'” he wrote.

“I wonder if they gave equal coverage to today’s @GOPoversight hearing where IRS whistleblowers revealed — at their own expense — misconduct in the Biden administration in an effort to protect the president’s family.”

OutKick’s Clay Travis said he “can’t believe this is real.”

Trump released a statement on Monday, in which he announced that Smith notified him in his Sunday letter that the Biden administration’s Department of Justice considers him a “target of the January 6th Grand Jury.”

Trump said that this means he will more than likely be “arrested and indicted.”

“Deranged Jack Smith, the prosecutor with Joe Biden’s DOJ, sent a letter… stating that I am a TARGET of the January 6th Grand Jury investigation, and giving me a very short 4 days to report to the Grand Jury, which almost always means an Arrest and Indictment,” he wrote.
