Alec Baldwin Skates in Fatal Shooting, Charges Dropped

'When you're a Democrat, they let you do it ... '

(Mark Pellin, Headline USA) In the latest display of a two-tiered justice system that favors leftist activist pushing a regime agenda, prosecutors in New Mexico plan to drop an involuntary manslaughter charge against Alec Baldwin in the fatal 2021 shooting of a cinematographer on the set of the Western film Rust, the actor’s attorneys said Thursday.

“We are pleased with the decision to dismiss the case against Alec Baldwin, and we encourage a proper investigation into the facts and circumstances of this tragic accident,” Baldwin attorneys Luke Nikas and Alex Spiro said in a statement.

Baldwin had pleaded not guilty to the charge, claiming that he never pulled the trigger of the gun in a shooting that killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, and that the weapon discharged accidentally. An FBI forensic report, however, found the weapon could not have fired unless the trigger was pulled.

While Baldwin will reportedly walk free, charges are still moving forward against the film’s weapons supervisor, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed.

The decision to drop charges against Baldwin drew a swift and severe public backlash.

“When you’re a Democrat, they let you do it,” wrote Hunan Events editor Jack Posobiec.

“A perfect example of our corrupt, two-tier injustice system. If you’re a leftist who has literally killed someone, you’ll skate,” wrote Monica Crowley, a media commentator and Trump-era Treasury assistant secretary. “If you sneezed at the Capitol on January 6, you’re in solitary in the DC gulag. We cannot go on like this.”
