Cackling Kamala Pockets $450K in Book Royalties as Veep

'It is time for us to do what we have been doing. And that time is every day... '

(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) Despite recurrent oratorical stumbles, gaffes and unscripted outright embarrassments, Vice President Kamala Harris somehow made nearly half a million dollars on book sales in her first year in office as Veep.

Her 2019 book “The Truths We Hold” yielded $325,000 from royalties, and her children’s book “Superheroes Are Everywhere” raked in $130,000, Bloomberg reported.

Comparatively, President Joe Biden has reported $15,001 and $50,000 in royalties for his 2018 memoir about his late son, titled “Promise Me, Dad.”

Because Kamala is not well known for her skilled turn of a phrase, it has been speculated that a ghost writer penned one or both of these books.

Both President and Veep are well set for money, with Biden reporting $1.5 million in cash and $650,000 in investment funds and Harris trailing with $700,000 and $195,000.

Harris reportedly has between $750,000 and $1.5 million in the bank, between $250,000 and $500,000 in a shared account with her husband Doug Emhoff, and between $775,000 and $1.85 million in retirement funds.
