Sen. Blackburn: As Many as 6 Dems Waffling on Spending Bill

'I mean, whoever thought he would be lower than Jimmy Carter?'

As President Joe Biden fails to cram his spending bill through Congress, it appears that what remains of Democratic unity is fracturing, Just the News reported.

While the mainstream media has spent most of its time heckling Arizona’s Kyrsten Sinema and West Virginia’s Joe Manchin for opposing Biden’s destructive bill, they have ignored several key Democrats who are looking nervously at the 2022 elections and wondering if passing the bill is in their best interest.

According to Sen. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., the bill is losing steam among several other Democrats as well.

“Not only is it Manchin, but you’ve got about five or six others in the Senate that are looking at their races, they’re down in the polls, or they’re tied up in the polls,” Blackburn said.

She also emphasized Biden’s extreme unpopularity, suggesting that Democrats may not want to associate with him.

“And the Republican ballot is up,” she continued. “Joe Biden, his popularity is just unbelievably low. I mean, whoever thought he would be lower than Jimmy Carter?”

The news comes as former President Donald Trump has begun testing his polling prospects in several of the disputed swing states where he narrowly lost the 2020 race (or arguably won it).

The Cook Political Report meanwhile upgraded Republican prospects of reclaiming Senate seats in Georgia and Arizona that it lost last yea, while picking up an additional seat in Nevada.

Blackburn pointed to the expected red wave in 2022 as a reason for some members of Congress to break from the Democratic ranks.

“And some of these House members who finally came around and voted for it. They might as well start cleaning their office out and heading home, give somebody their proxy to vote. They will not be reelected.”

Biden, after campaigning as a part of the working class, has done little but represent the interests of corporate and global elites so far.

It now appears that Americans have seen through the lie to Biden’s true allegiance.

The decaying President earlier claimed that his Build Back Better program would not require increased taxes on the working class, yet the reality is quite the contrary.

“All of this is going to be paid by people that are hardworking people, and Joe Biden said, ‘Oh, I’m not raising a penny in taxes on anybody making under $400,000 a year,'” Blackburn said.

“Well, that’s not accurate. It’s not accurate on a lot of different fronts. And people know this,” she concluded.
