(Chris Parker, Headline USA) The Biden administration may be hard at work coddling transgenders on the surface, but the federal government says biological males must still register for the draft, even if the men are convinced they’re women.
“US citizens or immigrants who are born male and changed their gender to female are still required to register,” says the Selective Service System website. “Individuals who are born female and changed their gender to male are not required to register.”
However, “Individuals who have changed their gender to male will be asked to complete a Status Information Letter (SIL) request form and provide a copy of their birth certificate.”
These orders contrast Biden’s promises to pass an executive order requiring the government to acknowledge gender dysphoria rather than an individual’s biological sex, reported Rebel News. Biden even went as far as to say that it would mean men identifying as women would be placed in female military units.
While Biden may not be holding the federal government to the standards he promised, his administration is still trying to force his claimed views on others. Earlier this year, the administration threatened to withhold lunch money from schools that refused to force transgender policies.
Biden has also encouraged practitioners to provide transgender care for minors. His Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of Population Affairs released a document, entitled “Gender Affirming Care and Young People,” claiming that “for transgender and nonbinary children and adolescents, early gender-
affirming care is crucial to overall health and well-being” and “gender-affirming care is a supportive form of healthcare.”
The HHS’ “Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s National Child Traumatic Stress Network” also released a document claiming that “gender-affirming care broadly refers to creating an environment that facilitates youth to move through the world safely as the gender they know themselves to be.”
Florida Health released another report that same month revealing, “Studies presenting the benefits to mental health, including those claiming that the services prevent suicide, are either low or very low quality and rely on unreliable methods such as surveys and retrospective analyses, both of which are cross-sectional and highly biased.”
So while the Biden administration is adamant about forcing its transgender agenda on schools and children, it seems unwilling to apply its standards equally to the federal government.
