(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) As President Joe Biden and his administration focus on trans rights abroad and enforcing inclusionary policies, the border crisis has amplified to dangerous new heights, with enough fentanyl flowing across the southern border each month to kill every American citizen, PJ Media reported.
In the month of June alone, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection seized more than 2,000 pounds of the drug. According to drug experts, one kilogram, or 2.2 pounds, is enough fentanyl to kill over 500,000 people.
Dr. Donna Nelson, an organic chemist and University of Oklahoma professor, explained that though things look bad, the reality is even more dire.
“I don’t think the public is really aware of what a challenge this is,” Nelson said, noting that border patrol agents likely only stopped a small part of the fentanyl flowing across America’s open southern border.
“You have to assume that the border agents are not catching everything that’s coming into our country.”
Since Biden took over for former President Donald Trump, the matter has only gotten worse, and in a serious way.
In 2020, the Border Patrol seized 445 pounds of fentanyl per month; in 2021, 882 pounds per month; in 2022, 1,175 pounds per month.
And though data for 2023 will not be confirmed until October, the Border Patrol’s average monthly seizure so far has been 2,427 pounds per month–approximately five times more than Trump’s final year of his presidency.
Meanwhile, as the left squawks about guns, 292 Americans die every day from drug overdoses, most of that being fentanyl that illegally made its way across America’s southern border.
According to former Trump adviser and intelligence officer Anthony Shaffer, the root cause of the trouble is Biden’s China connections, since a large bulk of the drug is linked to Chinese pharmaceutical companies.
“[I]nstitutions of the United States government, to include the White House, Hunter Biden, [and] Joe Biden, were paid millions of dollars to essentially defer to China,” he said. “I think that’s why we have such weak responses from the Biden White House, because they’ve been bought. I’m just saying it.”
