Biden’s Nightmare of ’24 Challenge Comes True

'I understand why people on the Right call them 'Godless.' I didn't think the Left was as mean as the Right. They are! ... '

(Headline USA) President Joe Biden earned his first Democrat challenger for the 2024 cycle this week after Marianne Williamson, a progressive who ran against him in 2020, announced her campaign for the White House.

“I wouldn’t be running for president if I didn’t believe I could contribute to harnessing the collective sensibility that I feel is our greatest hope at this time,” Williamson said on Friday.

Williamson previously teased she would be making an “important announcement” on March 4, but apparently decided not to hold off any longer.

In her announcement, she also took a shot at the Democratic National Committee for changing the presidential primary schedule and placing South Carolina as the first state in the line-up. She suggested the only reason the change was made is because Biden credits South Carolina with boosting his campaign during the 2020 race.

“How can you claim to be a champion of democracy when your own process is so undemocratic?” she said.

Williamson blasted the left-wing of the DemocratParty, too, accusing them of trying to bully her out of the race.

“What does it say that the conservatives are nicer to me? It’s such a bizarre world. I understand why people on the Right call them ‘Godless.’ I didn’t think the Left was as mean as the Right. They are!” she said.

Biden has not officially announced his reelection campaign, but First Lady Jill Biden all but confirmed on Friday his intention to run again.

“How many times does he have to say it for you to believe it?” Jill Biden told the Associated Press. “He says he’s not done. He’s not finished what he’s started. And that’s what’s important.”

However, according to a Politico report from earlier this week, Biden has “talked only sparingly about a possible campaign … Except for the occasional phone call with an adviser to review polling, he spends little time discussing the election.”

The Bidens’ granddaughter, Naomi, similarly confirmed the Biden family’s support for a 2024 bid.
