Biden Scolds Cabinet Officials for Pro-Ukrainian Rhetoric

'Biden was not happy when Blinken and Austin talked about winning in Ukraine... '

(Preston Parra, Headline USATwo top Biden administration official have gotten themselves into hot water with their aged boss, stemming from comments made while the pair were on a diplomatic trip to Kyiv, Ukraine

While on the trip, Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin declared publicly that he hoped Ukraine would not only defend itself and win the war against Russia, but also destroy Russia’s capabilities of launching future military incursions.

Following those remarks, Secretary of State Antony Blinken positioned himself right alongside the views of Secretary Austin.

When news reached the Oval Office, Biden apparently criticized both of them, stating that he was not happy with the rhetoric,” insinuating that the White House felt their comments could incite a confrontation between the U.S. and Russia.

He went on to tell them to “tone it down,” according to a top official in the Biden administration.

“Biden was not happy when Blinken and Austin talked about winning in Ukraine,” the official said, according to NBC News.

“He was not happy with the rhetoric.”

While Democrats and some Republicans seem to be united on helping defend Ukraine, it doesn’t seem like the United States wants to throw its total weight into the conflict, fearing potential commitment to an all-out war between itself and Russia.

This news breaks after Congress passed a nearly $14 billion emergency fund for Ukraine in March. Some of the U.S.’s top officials visited Kyiv in May, and the Senate approved a $40 billion aid package to Ukraine a couple of weeks ago, with more in the pipeline.

However, the embarrassment buck doesn’t stop with the two secretaries.

Over the weekend, at the G7 summit in Germany, Biden was disrespectfully prodded and nudged by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, who scolded Biden to pay attention for a photo-op.

The Biden administration continues to teeter on the precipice of solace with Ukraine and avoidance of war with Russia; however, these actions seem to only be stirring up controversy for both sides of that coin.

The failed policy and bad faith promises to the American people, along with numerous disasters stretching back to the deadly troop withdrawal from Afghanistan, have all been the very definition of the current presidential administration.

If the country isn’t pulled out of this dangerous economical abyss, the ramifications will be damaging for many years to come.
