(Headline USA) The Biden Administration has inadvertently confirmed the reports of whistle-blowers. Biden said he is planning to ask Congress for more money to make a COVID vaccine “that everybody [should] get.”
Biden also said that scientists are tracking new waves as COVID hospitalizations rise.
The new vaccine will mix the original coronavirus strain with last year’s most common omicron variants.
The Associated Press warned that this will not be the end.
“There will always be a need for updated vaccines as the virus continues to mutate,” it reported.
The shot should be available next month.
Meanwhile, officials hope there is a new COVID vaccine shot every fall.
Pfizer, Moderna and smaller manufacturer Novavax are all brewing doses of the XBB update.
“I signed off this morning on a proposal we have to present to the Congress a request for additional funding for a new vaccine that is necessary, that works,” Biden, who is vacationing in the Lake Tahoe area, told reporters on Friday.
He added that it’s recommended “that everybody get it,” once the shots are ready.
