Biden Mangles Teleprompter Speech on New Abortion Policies

'Repeat the line...'

(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) After accusing the Supreme court of “playing fast and loose with the facts,” President Joe Biden signed an executive order to protect “access to reproductive health care services, including abortion and contraception.”

According to The Daily Wire, part of Biden’s executive order involves the creation of a task force which will work with the Departments of Justice and Health and Human Services to create and enforce abortion policy.

“The President has directed HHS and the White House Gender Policy Council to establish and lead an interagency Task Force on Reproductive Health Care Access, responsible for coordinating Federal interagency policymaking and program development,” a fact sheet from the White House says.

In his statement, Biden called the Supreme Court “out of control” and accused them of working with Republican extremists “to take away freedoms.”

He also accused Republican governors of using the court’s decision “to impose some of the harshest and most restrictive laws seen in this country in a long time,” saying they “will cost lives.”

However, because this announcement required Biden to make a speech that was several minutes long, there were several moments where Biden misspoke and read the teleprompter cues aloud.

Biden’s cleanup team did not do much work to assist his weak performance.

Biden was also criticized by several Republicans, including Rep. Chip Roy, R-TX.

“As he ignores seemingly coordinated premeditated bombings of pregnancy centers across America, President Biden is absurdly doubling down on the federalization of abortion, while—among other things—subverting and undermining the democratically passed laws of states regarding dangerous chemical abortion pills,” Roy told Fox News Digital.

Roy went on to suggest that if Biden is going to attempt to use his federal power to protect abortion policy, there is no reason there should not be federal protection-of-life policies.

“This aggressive action undoubtedly continues to set the stage for federal protection of life,” the congressman added.
