Biden Hijacks Title 42 as Excuse for Not Visiting Border

'Republicans haven’t been serious about this at all, come on. They haven’t been serious about this at all...'

(Dmytro “Henry” AleksandrovHeadline USA) President Joe Biden declared during a Thursday press conference about border security that he doesn’t “like” Title 42 — a Trump-era policy that stops illegal immigrants from entering the country — and hopes to abolish it this year.

When a reporter asked Biden why “now is finally the right time to visit the southern border,” after Republicans had for nearly two years been encouraging the trip, Biden interrupted to sling a few whoppers, according to the Post Millennial.

“Republicans haven’t been serious about this at all, come on. They haven’t been serious about this at all,” he sputtered about the border crisis he’s created.

He then proclaimed disdain for the policy implemented by the Trump administration and used Title 42’s tenuous status as an excuse for avoiding a visit to the border.

“I wanted to make sure that I knew what the outcome or at least the near outcome was on Title 42 before I went down, we don’t have that yet, so I had to operate — I don’t like Title 42,” he said.

“But it’s the law and now we have to operate within it. My prediction is… Title 42 is going to go away before the end of the year in terms of the Supreme Court, my prediction.”

Biden boasted that with Title 42 removed, his administration would use the opportunity to fill the country with illegal immigrants crossing the border.

“But, so I wanted to make sure there was a rational way in which we can begin to announce it, but I couldn’t wait once the Supreme Court ruled that they’re not going to make the final decision on Title 42 for some time, for another who knows, probably not til June.”

The speech comes ahead of Biden’s first visit to the southern border during his administration — two years after he stepped into the Oval Office. Last month, before he dissed one of the border states, Arizona, that is now controlled by the alleged new governor, Democrat Katie Hobbs, Biden claimed he didn’t have time to visit the border that is invaded by illegals every day because there were “more important things going on.”

US Customs and Border Protection reported that both October and November of fiscal year 2023 have surpassed last year’s historic highs, with 231,294 and 233,740 people being encountered by Border Patrol agents, respectively. As expected, the leftist administration doesn’t see it as a problem needed to be solved.

There are so many illegals crossing the border now that their number has already surpassed the total number of encounters from 2020, the year when Title 42 was enacted amid the early days of the COVID hysteria.

Biden and his leftist administration constantly tried to remove the policy, but the Supreme Court halted its removal.
