Biden Says GOP Plans to Investigate Hunter Are ‘Almost Comedy’

(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) In a press conference following the midterm elections, President Joe Biden mocked a plan by GOP congressmen to investigate into his son Hunter’s shady dealings overseas, calling the plan “almost comedy.”

Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., who is likely to take over as chair of the House Oversight Committee, made it known that if he does become chair, one of the first things he plans to investigate is Hunter Biden’s dealings, specifically with China and Ukraine.

According to Just the News, Comer believes the president may even be “compromised.”

A reporter asked the president if he was concerned about the potential investigations into his family and if he wanted to send a message to the Republicans behind the scheme.

“‘Lots of luck in your senior year,’ as my coach used to say,” Biden retorted. “Look, I think the American public want us to move on and get things done for them.”

Bumbling on, Biden talked about how Republicans are hoping to find evidence of an impeachable offense.

“It’s just almost comedy,” he said. “I mean, it’s—but, you know, look, I can’t control what they’re going to do.”

Biden concluded by saying all he would like to do is “try to make life better for the American people”—after saying he is not planning to make any changes in the last half of his term.

Comer has made it clear that he would not investigate Hunter Biden for political reasons but because he is a threat to national security.

The Treasury Department has refused to give information on the Biden family’s “suspicious foreign business transactions,” some of which have flagged by American banks.

If Comer makes his way into the chair’s position, he has also promised to investigate the situation at the southern border and the handling of the COVID pandemic.
