COTTON: Biden’s DHS Pick Sold Green Cards to Chinese Nationals

'That is disqualifying to lead the Department of Homeland Security....'

Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., said the Democrat floated to possibly take over as head of the Department of Homeland Security should be promptly disqualified for selling green cards to Chinese nationals.

Cotton who sits high on the GOP’s list of early 2024 presidential contenders, went on “Fox and Friends” Wednesday morning to warn about the re-imagining of the agency from a defender against terrorism and illegal immigration to a facilitator of open-border amnesty.

The criticism came amid a wave of Republican concern over the would-be Cabinet picks of Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden.

“Look at his DHS nominee, Alejandro Mayorkas, he was found by Barack Obama’s Inspector General to be guilty of selling Green Cards to Chinese nationals on behalf of rich, democratic donors,” Cotton said.

“Think about that, selling citizenship to well-connected Chinese nationals on behalf of democratic party donors,” he continued. “That is disqualifying to lead the Department of Homeland Security.”

On Tuesday, Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., the chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee, condemned the proposed nominees for national security adviser and secretary of State due to their involvement in corruption-related scandals during the Obama administration.

According to Fox News, Mayorkas’s unscrupulous lack of ethics may be but one reason for concern.

He also has endorsed ideas far outside of mainstream, popular support that would allow illegal immigrants of any age who arrived in the US below the age of 31 to be granted amnesty.
