Bernie Sanders Says Dems Should Focus on Biden Economy Ahead of Midterms

(Ezekiel Loseke, Headline USA) With the momentum growing toward a red tsunami in the Nov. 8 midterm election, Democrats seem desperate to try anything that could stem their losses by promoting voter turnout among their loyal base.

In fact—despite soaring inflation, leading to soaring costs of food—socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., suggested that the key to swaying voters toward Democrats was to talk more about the Biden economy.

“[W]hat Democrats have to do is contrast their economic plan with the Republicans’,” Sanders told Politico.

Specifically, he claimed that Republicans “want to cut Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid at a time when millions of seniors are struggling to pay their bills.”

He reported being “worried about the level of voter turnout among young people and working people who will be voting Democratic.”

Yet, as usual, Sanders seemed to want to stoke class warfare in his campaign strategy.

“I think what we have to do is contrast what a strong, pro-worker Democratic position is with the corporate agenda of the Republicans,” he said, despite the strong evidence that corporate America has gone increasingly woke under pressure from far-left investment firms.

As part of his bold strategy, Sanders even suggested that Democrats talk about inflation—which is currently polling as the top concern on the minds of most Americans, although many in his party, seeing it as a liability, have desperately tried to deflect by focusing on abortion instead.

Sanders dismissed Republican concerns about Democratic policies being responsible for the near double-digit surge in cost-of-living.

He argued that “inflation is a global problem caused by the breaking of supply chains, because of the war in Ukraine, and a significant part by corporate greed.”

Sanders is, notably, the chair of the Senate’s Budget Committee. He also supports raising the debt ceiling.

Regardless of their ideas about solutions, many on the Left are fretting about the 2022 election.

Breitbart News reported that even the mainstream media sees the writing on the wall. Breitbart reported that the mainstream media “acknowledge[d] this week that Democrats are in danger of being swept by a huge red wave come November 8.”
