Attacks on Pregnancy Centers, Churches Escalate Across the Nation

'It is an attack on a place that is supposed to be safe for women, men, and their families... '

(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) Several churches, pregnancy centers and other pro-life organizations have sustained attacks across the nation after the dismantling of Roe v. Wade.

Data compiled by the Susan B. Anthony List and CatholicVote found that dozens of facilities have been attacked since the leak of the draft, and now that the decision has been made the attacks seem to have escalated, according to the Daily Wire.

One center in Longmont, Colorado, was attacked less than a day after Roe was overturned.

“The building sustained fire and heavy smoke damage,” police reported of the pregnancy center.

“At the arrival of police and fire staff, the front of the property had been vandalized with black paint. This fire is being investigated as arson.”

The front door of the center was broken and the building was vandalized with several pro-abortion slogans such as “if abortions aren’t safe neither are you,” and “bans off our bodies.”

The FBI and Longmont Public Safety are investigating the attack.

“What we hope the perpetrators of this act understand is that an attack on Life Choices is ultimately not an attack on a political party or act of,” Life Choices Executive Director Kathy Roberts said.

“It is an attack on those who walk through our doors every day in need of diapers, pregnancy tests, limited ultrasounds, clothing, financial and parenting classes, support, and so much more. It is an attack on a place that is supposed to be safe for women, men, and their families.”

Police are also investigating an attack on the Blue Ridge Pregnancy Center in Lynchburg, Virginia, which took place the day after the Roe decision was announced.

The windows of the center were smashed, with graffiti that read “IF ABORTION AINT SAFE YOU AINT SAFE!”

Militant pro-abortion group Jane’s Revenge took credit for the attack.

Several Catholic churches, other Christian institutions and government buildings were also attacked in the wake of the overturn.

In some cases, police used tear gas and pepper spray to break up protests on the verge of turning violent.
