DC Medical Examiner: Ashli Babbitt’s Death Was a Homicide

The identity of Babbitt's killer and cause of death for Capitol Police officer Brian Sicknick are still unknown, fueling cover-up speculation...

Washington, DC’s chief medical examiner on Wednesday revealed the official cause of death for Air Force veteran Ashli Babbitt and three other pro-Trump patriots who died during the Jan. 6 uprising at the US Capitol.

As expected, the deaths of Kevin Greeson and Benjamin Phillips were determined to be from “natural” causes related to pre-existing heart conditions.

The death of Roseanne Boyland was deemed “accidental.” But despite widespread mainstream media claims that she was trampled by an out-of-control mob of empathy-devoid MAGA insurrectionists, the official report concluded that she died of a drug overdose.

Most inconvenient to the fraudulent narrative advanced by left-wing revisionists, though, is the formal confirmation of Babbitt’s murder.

Although the clinical definition of “homicide” undoubtedly differs from the legal definition, in which intent plays a crucial role, it nonetheless undermines efforts to tamp down on right-wing martyrdom of Babbitt or the portrayal of her as an innocent victim.

Babbitt was shot by a yet-unidentified police officer while she was attempting to enter the Speaker’s Lobby through a broken window.

There are no indications that she posed an immediate threat to the officer, nor to the elite politicians he was charged with protecting, who already had evacuated the legislative chamber.

Graphic video of the murder, in fact, appears to show Babbitt’s killer assuming a strategic defense position behind a barricade before stepping forward to take the fatal neck shot.

The officer does not appear to give any audible warning of his intention to fire on her.

It is unclear whether the timing of the recent announcement, three months after the Capitol siege, was intentional; yet the news seemed to mirror, in some ways, the ongoing murder trial for alleged police-brutality victim George Floyd.

In both cases, police have been accused of using excessive force in the line of duty.

However, Floyd’s official medical report indicated he was suffering from both cardiovascular disease and a fatal dose of amphetamines in his system. Thus, the controversial neck restraint used by then-Minneapolis Police officer Derek Chauvin may not have been directly responsible.

Even though the death of Floyd, who was black, technically may not have been a homicide, public outrage over the incident painted police as systemically racist and bloodthirsty oppressors who targeted minorities for the sheer delight of it.

At least a dozen people—including some in law enforcement—are believed to have died as a result of the nationwide race-riots that ensued in its aftermath.

Meanwhile, a still-unresolved mystery related to the Capitol protest is the official cause of death for Capitol Police officer Brian Sicknick, which is now rumored to have been a stroke.

Once again, leftists and their media allies have sought to manipulate the narrative surrounding Sicknick in order to capitalize politically on the tragedy.

Citing anonymous sources within the Capitol, the New York Times initially claimed Sicknick had died on the scene after being assaulted with a fire extinguisher.

House Democrats even introduced the unverified allegations into the evidentiary record while attempting to impeach former president Donald Trump for inciting the violence.

But those claims later proved to be false. Sicknick’s brother revealed that the two had spoken afterward and that he indicated at the time that he was fine.

Two protestors have since been charged with assaulting Sicknick during the riot, but the lack of a medical examiner’s report continues to spur speculation of a deep-state cover-up concerning the true cause of death.
