(Ken Silva, Headline USA) Two FBI agents say they saw an unidentified flying object, or UFO, at an undisclosed date and location earlier this year, according to newly released records from the Pentagon.
According to a 2026 FBI memo co-signed by the two agents, it was about 9:23 p.m. when another person told them over the radio that they saw something over a nearby ridge line. The agents looked where they were directed, and immediately saw what they described the object as a dark black triangular craft resembling a delta wing drone. The object had a wingspan of nine to fifteen feet, a depth of six to nine feet, and a thickness of one to two feet.
The agents said they saw the UFO ascend vertically over a ridge line about 3.2 miles away, before immediately traveling horizontally “at a very significant velocity.”

The agents were also debriefed by the Pentagon’s All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), which issued its own report. According to the AARO report, the agents said the object was traveling as fast as a fighter jet.
And while the object was said to have resembled a drone, the AARO said there were no noises, which would be expected from something like a conventional quadcopter or rotary-wing aircraft. The AARO report added that the two FBI agents have “extensive operational experience” using unmanned aerial systems.
The records were released as part of the Trump administration’s started goal to bring transparency to the government’s research of UFOs.
Last year, it was revealed that the FBI has a previously undisclosed “working group” devoted to tracking unidentified anomalous phenomena, or UAPs—also known as UFOs. According to Politico, the UAP Working Group consists of a national program manager and more than a dozen employees across the country.
