(José Niño, Headline USA) A Substack writer who publishes as Geoffrey Edevane accused conservative commentator Candace Owens on September 28 of keeping 4 adult dating profiles.
Edevane, who posts on X as @EsoShaggy, laid out the allegations in a Substack article that runs 12 chapters on his Mystery Machine News newsletter. In a promotional X post, he wrote, “Candace Owens is a lesbian who cheated on her husband George Farmer in 2022 with a woman.”

Headline USA reached out to Owens via email and asked her to address the dating profile allegations and the claimed 2022 login. Thus far, Headline USA has not received a response. Owens canceled her Monday show.
The Substack article builds its case on screenshots and breach search results. Edevane ties 3 Adult FriendFinder profiles and 1 Fling profile, all created in 2007 or 2008, to usernames and email handles he associates with Owens, who grew up in Stamford, Connecticut, and attended the University of Rhode Island. “These are the facts; the direct evidence and context bolstering them are indisputable,” he wrote.
The underlying breaches did occur. An attacker took more than 40 million Fling accounts in 2011, and a 2016 attack on Friend Finder Networks exposed roughly 170 million unique email addresses on Adult FriendFinder alone.
Edevane goes further, citing remarks by Milo Yiannopoulos to argue that a compromising video of Owens allegedly exists. The article also casts Farmer as a hidden influence over Owens’s business.
To make that case, Edevane turns to the defamation lawsuit French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte filed against Owens in Delaware Superior Court. The complaint names GeorgeTom, Inc., the operator of Owens’s website, as a defendant alongside Candace Owens LLC.
Edevane reads “GeorgeTom” as shorthand for George Thomas Farmer. Citing Fortune, he argues that the company runs Owens’s website and podcast distribution, while Owens controls her social media accounts and their ad revenue. He also points to a 2023 filing that ties the GeorgeTom brand to her merchandise.
Additionally, Edevane claimed that Mitchell Jackson, a former Vice journalist who, according to Edevane, voted for both Joe Biden and Ron DeSantis, is Owens’ PR manager. Jackson previously went by Mitchell Sunderland and adopted his husband’s surname after marrying. Edevane notes that Jackson’s client roster includes Brett Cooper, Adam22, Clavicular, and Adam Friedland.
Edevane offers $100,000 to anyone who can prove the profiles fake and insists he acted alone. “Full disclosure: I have no backers,” he wrote.
International Business Times UK reported that it could not independently authenticate the alleged profiles, account records, or login data.
