(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) The FBI has opened an investigation into five suspicious letters sent to election offices in Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada and Georgia.
Four out of the five letters contained fentanyl based on preliminary tests, according to Scripps News.
The letters contained threatening messages, demanding that officials “end elections now.”
“Stop giving power to the right that they don’t have. We are in charge now and there is no more need for them,” the letters read, referencing the round of elections that took place on Tuesday.
The letter concluded with a note warning that ballot drops were susceptible to noxious chemicals, followed by the pride flag, a pentagram and a symbol representing the Social Democratic Party of Germany originating in 1932.
Election workers opened the notes containing “unknown powdery substances” in several counties across the respective states.
One letter sent in Washington state tested positive for baking soda. Another, sent to Spokane, tested positive for fentanyl.
Washington State bomb squad also responded to a similar letter in Pierce County on Wednesday.
Officials in Fulton County, Georgia, where the election interference case against former President Donald Trump and his allies is taking place, also recounted the discovery of a similar letter.
Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger confirmed Fulton County was the only one to receive such letters.
“We’re working with our state and federal partners to determine if any additional Georgia officials are being targeted,” Raffensperger said. “Domestic terrorists will not trample on our right to free and fair elections.”
Tacoma’s police department claimed that the letters had nothing other than a “vague statement” and there was no indication of the responsible party.

Other local law enforcement agencies and the Justice Department refused to share additional information about the ongoing investigation, leaving the mainstream media to speculate about the mystery senders.
But according to FBI whistleblower Kyle Seraphin, investigators have determined that all the letters originated from a single point: Portland.
