NY Post Rips Hunter’s Op-Ed w/ Fiery Editorial: ‘A Load of Bull’

'The scandal is influence-peddling… You’re not the victim, Hunter...'

(Luis CornelioHeadline USA) The editorial board of the New York Post did not mince words in their scathing rebuke of Hunter Biden’s recent op-ed for USA Today, where he portrayed himself as a victim of the politicization of his drug abuse.

In a fiery editorial, the NY Post ripped Hunter’s attempt to deflect attention from the controversy engulfing the Biden family, emphasizing that the crux of the scandal lies in alleged influence-peddling.

“‘A load of bull!’” the editorial board declared, dismissing Hunter’s portrayal of himself as a victim. “The scandal is influence-peddling. … You’re not the victim, Hunter.”

The publication delved into the widely discussed evidence suggesting potential political corruption in the Biden family’s affairs.

“Sure, Hunter Biden sold himself to foreign companies in exchange for access to his father, the vice president of the United States,” the response began. “Yes, he made millions from a Ukrainian gas company while his dad’s government portfolio included Ukraine, a flagrantly unethical arrangement that is still under investigation. […] But don’t blame him. It was all the drugs!”

Hunter’s op-ed was met with particular ire as he criticized Republicans, Special Counsel David Weiss, and the NY Post for purportedly weaponizing his drug addiction.

Hunter’s expression of concern over the reported demonization of drug abuse and his claim of being used as an avatar to attack his father didn’t sit well with the NY Post.

Specifically, Hunter’s op-ed lamented, “What troubles me is the demonization of addiction, of human frailty, using me as its avatar and the devastating consequences it has for the millions struggling with addiction, desperate for a way out and being bombarded by the denigrating and near-constant coverage of me and my addiction on Fox News (more airtime than GOP presidential candidate Ron DeSantis) and in The New York Post (an average of two stories a day over the past year).”

However, the editorial board of the NY Post was quick to debunk this narrative. “You know what the vast majority of those stories don’t mention? Hunter’s drug use. Because we’re not ‘weaponizing’ addiction, we’re reporting on the intersection of Hunter’s business dealings and Joe Biden’s political career.”
